Soundwaves Tattoo Studio was founded in Bucharest in 2017 with an unconventional idea: turning sounds, voices, and memories into tattoos. What started as a concept that combined tattooing with technology quickly became something much bigger. From the beginning, we've challenged ourselves to think differently, push boundaries, and create experiences that go beyond the traditional tattoo studio.
Over the years, we've brought together talented artists, collaborated with international brands, and taken our passion for tattooing to some of Romania's biggest music festivals. From our first festival experiences in 2018 to making history at UNTOLD in 2024 by bringing permanent tattooing inside the festival, we've continued to explore new ways of connecting art, music, and people.
Today, Soundwaves has grown beyond its original home in Bucharest, expanding to Cluj-Napoca and Nibiru while continuing to be part of major festivals and events across the country. Different locations, different artists, and thousands of stories brought to life through ink, all connected by the same vision. We believe that getting a tattoo should be more than an appointment. It should be a personal experience, built around creativity, individuality, and the people who make it happen.
